World food day

World food day

We celebrated World Food Day with our students on 16th October 2024, a day dedicated to raising awareness about global food issues and promoting healthy eating habits. As part of the celebration, students were introduced to a variety of cuisines from around the world, allowing them to explore and appreciate the diversity in food culture.
In the classroom, students engaged in interactive discussions about the origins of different cuisines such as Italian, Mexican, Chinese, Indian, and many more. Teachers highlighted the importance of nutritious, balanced meals and how food can bring people together across cultures.
To further enrich the experience, students were given the opportunity to participate in a roleplay activity where they “collected” different foods of their choice and pretended to enjoy a meal. This imaginative play allowed them to engage with the concept of diverse cuisines in a fun and interactive way, reinforcing their understanding of global food cultures while encouraging creativity and social interaction.
