Grandparents’ Day Celebration at Bunts Sangha’s Arathi Shetty International School
Bunts Sangha’s Arathi Shetty International School, Borivali, hosted a heartwarming Grandparents’ Day celebration on Friday, 27th September 2024, honoring the pillars of family strength and wisdom. The event began with a serene prayer song by FITTO, the school’s musical partner, setting a spiritual tone for the day, followed by a welcome speech from Principal Ms. Namrata Saxena. She highlighted the significance of grandparents, emphasizing their love, patience, and guidance, as well as the traditions and values they pass down through generations.

The festivities commenced with an energetic dance performance by the Junior and Senior KG students. This was followed by a bonding activity called “Know Your Grandchild,” which encouraged enthusiastic participation from grandparents, sparking laughter and joyful moments that strengthened their connections with their grandchildren.
The theme of the day, “Ethnic Attire,” was embraced by both students and grandparents, who showcased stunning traditional outfits while sharing the cultural significance behind their attire. The celebration was further enriched by vibrant performances, including Bhangra, Marathi dance, and lively Mangalore dance, creating a fun and creative atmosphere.
A touching video montage featured heartfelt messages from children to their grandparents, with the words “I love you” bringing tears of joy to many. The students honored their grandparents with a musical tribute, performing dedicated songs and presenting handmade cards, reinforcing the deep bonds between generations.
The event also included a lively fashion show, where children and grandparents walked the ramp together, showcasing the beauty of their ethnic attire. The day wrapped up with a final musical session led by FITTO, where grandparents and grandchildren danced together, creating joyful moments that filled the day with love and laughter.
